Choosing a washing machine: capacity, dimensions and spin speed
Washer capacity is measured in kilograms of dry laundry. Choose according to your actual loads and items, not just household size. Rated capacity does not mean every programme accepts that weight; check the instructions for the programme you use.
First, check the machine fits
Compare width, height and depth, allowing room for connections and door opening. If stacking a dryer above it, check both models’ instructions and the appropriate stacking kit. Greater capacity does not necessarily mean larger external dimensions.
Spin speed
Spin speed is stated in rpm. Compare the maximum, but also check whether it can be reduced for different programmes and fabrics. Spin speed alone does not describe noise, programme duration or washing performance.
Programmes and everyday use
Check the exact model’s programmes: a quick wash, delicates or other options you need. Programme count is useful for comparison, but names and limitations are specified in the manufacturer’s manual.
Before placing an order
Confirm the importer, service provider, warranty coverage and installation requirements. If these details are missing, clarify them before deciding to purchase.
